In front of a sellout crowd of 4,772 at the Sioux Falls Arena, the Stampede (26-13-2) defeated the Gamblers by a 3-0 regulation mark Saturday evening. With the loss, Green Bay fell to 21-16-6 through 43 regular season games.
Cam Hackett made his tenth appearance of the season in goal for the Gamblers in the contest, registering 17 saves on 20 Sioux Falls shot attempts. That wasn’t enough to overcome Green Bay’s offensive struggles, however, failing to convert on any one of their 31 shots on goal against Stampede goaltender Arthur Brey.
The Gamblers will play the second game of the weekend against Sioux Falls Sunday afternoon and will return home to the Resch Center next Friday, Feb. 21 against the Youngstown Phantoms.
