ALEC DOPP — The Green Bay Gamblers defeated the Indiana Ice by a 4-2 regulation score Friday night at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. With the win, the Gamblers improved to 29-24-6 with one game left in the regular season and remained one point back of the Eastern Conference’s final playoff spot.
Ryan Siroky, Anthony Walsh, Nick Schmaltz and Matt Weis each scored for the Gamblers in the victory, while Jared Rutledge hoarded 29 saves (31 attempts) in his forty-fourth start of the season.
Derek Lalonde and company will travel to Muskegon tomorrow night for a winner-take-all season-end matchup with the Lumberjacks, with the victor of the game owning rights to the league’s final playoff spot. Should the Gamblers defeat Muskegon in overtime, both teams would finish the season with 66 PTS, and Green Bay would own the tiebreaker.
