The Green Bay Gamblers were defeated by the Youngstown Phantoms by a 3-2 regulation score Friday evening at Covelli Centre, ending the club’s four-game streak with at least a point earned. With the loss, Green Bay dropped to 13-14-4, but maintained its foothold on sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
Jason Pawloski received the start in net for head coach and general manager Pat Mikesch, successfully saving 27 of 30 (.900) shots on goal against him. Brian Bowen’s second-period score tied him for the team lead in points (27), while Derek Barach notched his fifth goal of 2014-15 in the game’s final frame.
